New year, new songs...

Wednesday 24th February 2016

Many greetings from Dukeland. We hope you're enjoying the new year so far and we must say, what a 2016 it is looking to be for the premiere rock and pop covers band in the Lake District. After joining forces with Tailored Entertainment at the beginning of the year and revamping some elements of our stage production, we're kicking off 2016 feeling rather suave. But with new ventures come some fresh changes, and our first of the year has been to make our setlist even more epic.

We always strive for the perfect balance between modern tunes and old favourites, and in a bid to briskly sweep into dimensions anew, we've added some firm retro favourites and some rather fresh takes on new releases. Adele's 'Hello' was a frequently requested song at previous gigs and we've now fashioned our own version, using male and female vocals and some rock-ingredients reminiscent of the Artic Monkeys, we've really made it our own but kept that epic ballad backbone, you can hear a little preview featuring some of the Dukes here:

Some more examples of modern songs we are currently 'Duking' are; The 1975's 'Girls', Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me', Ed Sheeran's 'Sing!' and his infamous ballad 'Thinking Out Loud' to name a few.

Throw those in with some classic crowd-pleasers such as Madness' 'It Must Be Love', The Beatles' 'Saw Her Standing There', The Who's 'My Generation' and many more 60s/70s classics, The Fusion Dukes are equipping themselves with even more belters to storm the stage with!

We're thrilled to be kicking out in style with our new production and bigger repertoire and can't wait for you to hear it in the flesh. Much epicness guaranteed.

Regards,

TFD & co.
